Trigger warning: discussion of child loss
With Mother’s Day looming, it is a time of complicated emotions for many people. For me this year feels particularly complicated as I approach my daughter, Jackie’s birthday – she would have been 10! – and the tenth anniversary of her death. Often we hear that grief should get easier as time passes, that time heals all things, but in my case, it just seems to get more complex.
